A long long time ago when the dinosaurs were all extinct there were new animals born and one of them was the giraffe. The giraffe was born with a normal neck and could drink water normally and eat food normally. There was one big rule at the time and that was you can’t eat leaves or grass. The giraffe followed the rule for a while but one day he was out of food and he was really hungry. The giraffe went down to eat some grass. He tasted it and he ate and ate and ate until there was nothing left. He broke the only rule: suddenly the grass god bolted down from the clouds and stared at the giraffe then pulled the giraffe’s neck with all his might, stretching it while doing so. The giraffe’s neck was so long it could never ever eat, drink or sleep the same. Then after that the grass god cursed every giraffe with a long neck and that’s how the giraffe got its long neck.
